Korean Sound Effects

안녕하세요. I bet you love reading manhwa or watching Korean variety show right ? Well sometime you saw a Hangeul letters on manhwa or on screen used to describe the sound effects (onomatopoeic Korean word), for example sound of throbbing heart, chewing sound, a door slam sound etc. Let's read more and try using Korean Sound Effect together.(=^o^=)

Sometimes sound effects used in lyrics of the song, like the sound 두근 두근 du-geun du-geun (the sound and feeling of a throbbing heart) in Playful Kiss drama soundtrack played by Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min titled Kiss Kiss Kiss below :

안녕하세요. Chingudeul pasti hobi baca manhwa kan atau nonton variety show Korea? Nah pasti suka lihat ada huruf-huruf hangeul yang digunakan untuk mengambarkan sound effects (dikenal juga dengan istilah bahasa kata onomatopoeic Korea), seperti suara hati yang deg2an, suara mengunyah, suara air jatuh dll. Ayo kita baca lebih lanjut dan coba gunakan sound effect dalam bahasa Korea bersama.

Kadang sound effect ini juga suka digunakan dalam lirik lagu lho seperti suara 두근두근 du-geun du-geun (suara jantung berdebar-debar) dalam soundtrack drama Playfull Kiss yang dimainkan oleh Kim Hyun Joong dan Jung So Min berjudul Kiss Kiss Kiss di atas.

Also the sound 부글부글 bu-geul bu-geul (the bubbling of boiling water) in drama teaser Flower Boy Ramen Shop played by Jung Il Woo and Lee Chung Ah

Lalu ada juga suara 부글부글 bu-geul bu-geul (suara air mendidih) dalam teaser drama Flower Boy Ramen Shop yang dimainkan oleh Jung Il Woo dan Lee Chung Ah

Sound 후루룩 hururuk (slurping sound) in instant noodles CF with IU as the star.

Suara 후루룩 hururuk (suara menyeruput makanan) dalam CF mie instan yang dibintangi oleh IU

쿵 kung! (thump)

쾅 kwang! (a door slam)

꼬끼오 kko-kki-o (cock-a-doodle-do)

윙윙 wing wing (buzz of a bee)

짹깍짹깍 jjaek-kkak, jjaekh-kkak (tick-tock of a clock)

짹짹 jjaek jjaek (tweet-tweet, the chirp of a bird)

삐약삐약 ppi-yak ppi-yak (peep peep of a chick)

캉캉, 멍멍 kang-kang, meong-meong (woof, bowwow of a dog)

낑낑 kking kking (whine of a dog)

칙칙폭폭 chik-chik pok-pok (choo choo, puff of a steam locomotive)

쿨쿨 kul kul (snoring)

냠냠 nyam nyam (munch munch)

부릉부릉 bu-reung bu-reung (vroom of a car)

첨벙 cheom beong (splash of something falling into water)

피융 pi yung (whiz of an arrow or bullet)

두근두근 du-geun du-geun (the sound and feeling of a throbbing heart)

후루룩 hururuk (slurping sound)

부글부글 bu-geul bu-geul (the bubbling of boiling water)

Nah berikut beberapa kata lain dalam bahasa Korea yang biasa digunakan untuk menggambarkan sound effect :

빵빵 ppang ppang (suara klakson mobil)

쿵 kung! (suara langkah kaki)

쾅 kwang! (suara pintu dibanting)

꼬끼오 kko-kki-o (suara ayam berkokok)

윙윙 wing wing (suara dengungan lebah)

짹깍짹깍 jjaek-kkak, jjaekh-kkak (suara detik jam)

짹짹 jjaek jjaek (suara kicauan burung)

삐약삐약 ppi-yak ppi-yak (suara anak ayam)

캉캉, 멍멍 kang-kang, mong-mong (suara gongongan anjing)

낑낑 kking kking (suara rintihan anjing)

칙칙폭폭 chik-chik pok-pok (suara kereta api)

쿨쿨 kul kul (suara dengkuran)

냠냠 nyam nyam (suara mengunyah)
